Build a HYROX simulation heat schedule

Learn how to review participants, set heat intervals, generate a RoxDesk simulation schedule and handle late registrations without shifting existing starts.

Review registrations first

Open Participants in the selected event. Check divisions, partner names and duplicate flags before building heats. Team entries and athlete headcounts are different: a doubles registration is one team, not one person.

Keep a backup before replacing a schedule you want to retain. These instructions describe the organizer workflow; read-only staff views do not expose schedule-editing controls.

Generate the schedule

  1. Open Schedule.
  2. Set Event Start Time, Heat Interval (minutes) and Race Duration (minutes). The interval is the spacing between heat starts, not the time required to finish a race.
  3. Select Generate / Regenerate Full Schedule. If a schedule exists, read the confirmation carefully: regeneration rebuilds heats and assignments and removes manual scheduling changes.
  4. Review each division and the registrations in each heat. The generator uses this division order: Men’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Men’s Solo, Women’s Solo, then Relay.
  5. Review Constraint Warnings if shown. Resolve them before treating the schedule as ready.

Example: spacing three starts

With a fictional 09:00 event start and a 10-minute heat interval, successive starts would be 09:00, 09:10 and 09:20. That example illustrates the timing calculation only. It is not a recommendation for your gym’s safe capacity or equipment availability.

Allow for overlapping heats when planning the floor. Your equipment, available space, staffing and event format need a separate operational review.

Adjust a heat without losing track of the day

Drag participant chips between heats to make manual adjustments, then review the resulting assignments and warnings. Clicking a participant chip opens that registration for editing.

+ Add Heat within a division inserts a heat and shifts subsequent times. + Add Heat at End of Day adds a heat after the latest scheduled start without moving existing starts. Choose based on whether the published start times should stay fixed.

If the schedule looks wrong

Check the selected event, participant divisions, cancellations and timing inputs first. If a start time moved unexpectedly, check whether a heat was inserted inside a division. Do not repeatedly regenerate a carefully edited schedule: first save a backup and identify the change you need.
