Check the event and the start clock
Open Live and confirm the selected event, division, heat and registrations. The demo uses manual heat starts. Timing here is browser-based; it is not RFID timing or automatic station-split capture.
For events with auto-start enabled, an admin must have the page open on the event day. There is no background server clock starting heats when nobody has the app open.
Record a finish
- Find an unstarted heat and select Start Heat Now when that heat begins. This records its actual start time.
- Confirm the timer is running for the correct heat. Each finisher’s elapsed time is measured from that heat’s actual start.
- Find the correct athlete or team and select End Race as they finish.
- Look for the saved time and Saved badge. Check that the result belongs to the intended registration.
- Open Results to review recorded times. Apply the relevant filters and sorting before selecting Export CSV; the export follows the current filtered and sorted view.
Correct a timing mistake carefully
If a heat began before you clicked its start button, Set start time lets you enter the actual start time. Check your event record rather than guessing.
If you recorded the wrong finisher, use Undo on that specific saved result and read the confirmation. It removes the saved time; the racer must be timed again. It does not reconstruct the original finish moment. Keep an independent timing record when planning a real event workflow.
Do not use Reset Start as a substitute for correcting one result. Start-clock changes affect the meaning of elapsed times for the heat.
If a finish cannot be recorded
Check that the heat has actually started and its start is not in the future. If a heat is missing from Live, check whether Hide fully finished heats is enabled. If editing controls are absent, check whether you are in a read-only view.
The public demo is an evaluation preview. Discuss your real event’s timing and reliability requirements before depending on any production setup.
